Library of Economics - Plovdiv
In April 2013, Bauersachs Foundation established the “Library of Economics” in partnership with the Institute for Market Economics and the Bulgarian Macroeconomic Association.
Our goal is to build a rich information base for people interested in specialized literature. The books in the library cover a wide range of fields such as political philosophy, economics, marketing, management, finance, history and psychology.
There are currently over 500 books available, with the main focus being the Austrian School of Economics. The library is funded primarily by small donations, as well as via book donations and book vouchers.
Over the years, the physical spaces that housed the Library of Economics have also become a center for public meetings, where citizens can discuss various topics with some of the most respected economists and political analysts in Bulgaria.
Library of Economics - Gabrovo
The creation of an economic library is a joint initiative of Bauersachs Foundation, the Municipality of Gabrovo and the Regional Information Center – Gabrovo.
The library contains over 350 contemporary and classic titles, most of them in English language. The new acquisition in the city of Gabrovo is open to all who want to improve their knowledge in economic theory and to develop successful projects, including students with interests in the field.
The first specialized economic library in Gabrovo opened its doors in July 2020 and is hosted by the Regional Information Center, which is consolidating its position as an intellectual and educational hub, following its successful entrepreneurship promotion projects such as the Gabrovo Innovation Camp.
Library of Economics – Gabrovo is located at “Vazrazhdane” square No. 3 /in the Gabrovo Municipality building/. It works every weekday from 08:30 to 17:30. For contact: 066/807-222, oic@gabrovo.bg.
